The video "Ser", by Pedro Vaz, presents us with a mysterious figure that moves in a natural environment. The question of the identity of this figure is one of the issues in this work: is it a spirit of nature? is it us? an extra-terrestrial being? a ghost? Or a speculation of how mother nature can sense us, as we drift in it, a vision of ourselves that would capture our energy. Enigmatically, what this video seeks to convey could also be considered the opposite. As it unfolds, the identity of this represented figure becomes timeless and at the same time transfigures itself by becoming unclear. Something between a caretaker, a primate or a creature in an advanced stage of evolution. Eventually present in an unidentified area situated between our own vision and the planet.
