Burden and Strength

A man walks in a circle around a bundle of stones that mark the landscape. An almost vague, and anonymous formation of the surrounding nature, suggests the Castro da Cigadonha. The human figure is the only moving element in a static scenario. This performance flirts with the ideas of burden and potency. The burden requires the non interruption of the march and at the same time it also strengthens the sense of potency. The work Burden and Strength, as well as the artist's continuous research, suggests the reformulation of the possibilities and extensions of the body as a living landscape.
