Cápsula

2016

Cápsula project was developed in the context of the Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa artist-in-residence program. Faced with the proposal to work with the very building of the Pombal Palace, where the program was running, a project was carried out based on the existing wall tiles of the palace.

As access to the actual landscape was not available, as it usually happens, the target was the nature represented on the tiles.

The tiles were worked in their quality of access to the original look of the craftsman making them, which therefore goes back to the ceramic encapsulation of the landscapes represented. This access was then expanded in the watercolors. Color pattern was established as a linking instrument between its execution and the present.
