Panóptico

2007

Panoptic is a device made of wood in which all of its interior that can be observed at once.  When we try to discover and perceive, a place emerges from within nature, and we recognize it as inspirational and an original archetype. This work is 82cm in height and the same in width. The length of 120cm. It is made with materials such as poplar plywood, mirrors, acrylic, polyurethane, branches, leaves, moss, acrylic paint.

Panoptic is to be placed on the ground. The outside part looks like a wooden box or even a chest of draws. In one of these outside parts there is a horizontal opening. It is from here that we visualize the interior and perceive an aerial vision, a mixture of a path, in an environment of a fake forest.
