Quarenta Passos

2010

Quarenta Passos (forty steps)is a work that opposes a tension between: knowledge of nature and self-knowledge of man. The desire of clearing imposed limitations by nature and the body, between the direct perception of the landscape and the recreation of representation through movements of approach and retraction from nature. But the greatest tension is the fact that the linear composition of the device proves to be an illusion. In short, a vertical path, like a climb to the colossal mountains of the Picos de Europa.
